Rail I have always supported mass transit. I think rail transit is a viable option if the system/technology selected makes sense economically, aesthetically and environmentally. More...
| TheBus Oahu Transit Services Inc. - Information on routes, schedules, fares, passes, and access to popular attractions on the island of Oahu.
| Driveakamai.org This Web site is designed to inform drivers about lane closures due to major construction project form downtown Honolulu to Waikiki.
| HPD Traffic Information Listing of all traffic incidents.
| The Boat Providing transportation boat service between Barbers Point and Honolulu, Hawaii.

| DUKE BAINUM knows that as far as traffic goes, there is no magic bullet. Paving the entire island would only transform the island into a gigantic parking lot within a few years.
Part of the answer? Better management of our roads, and increasing transportation assets and choices.
- Mass transit that is environmentally acceptable as well as affordable
- Implement City and State Bike Plans to encourage non-automobile use
- Enhance pedestrian safety
- Promote community circulators
- Roads should never be clogged with construction during rush hours. Construction should not clog parallel routes.
- Citizen input is needed on handling traffic stopping situations. There is no such thing as one solution working well in all cases.
- Cooperation is badly needed between the City and the State for maintenance, traffic management, and construction projects.
- DUKE says...synchronize, synchronize, synchronize!
- Businesses and large organizations should be encouraged and given incentives to car pool, van pool, provide shuttles, and get their employees onto public transportation.
- It should be easier, more comfortable, and faster to travel by bus.
- There should be better public and private transportation for special events, sports events, concerts, and other activities that attract large crowds and traffic.
